A five-star hotel with views that leave you speechless, but with facilities that haven't been updated in years and a security issue that has no excuse. If you're going purely for the scenery and you know that going in, it might be worth it. If you expect everything else to match the price, you'll probably be disappointed.
What people mention most is the location. Around 24 reviews call the views or the setting the best part of the trip. It doesn't change by season or guest type — it shows up in reviews from couples, solo travelers, and groups alike. That point is real and hard to argue with.
The problem is the hotel hasn't been renovated in years and it shows. About ten reviews mention worn-out rooms, leaks, or balconies in poor condition, and the trend is getting worse over time. On top of that, several guests say the photos online look nothing like what they found when they arrived. In a five-star hotel, that's a serious problem. Add to that the charges that appear without warning — bank transfers, drinks, access to certain areas. Nine reviews bring it up.
